Overview
Noonday Collection is a socially conscious accessories brand that partners with artisans around the world to create ethically made jewelry and fashion. With a national network of purpose-driven Ambassadors who sell products through in-person and online Trunk Shows, the company relies heavily on a seamless digital experience to support both customers and its direct-sales community.
During my time at Noonday Collection, I served as the lead designer for the brand’s web experience, spanning multiple platform transitions and ultimately culminating in a fully custom direct-sales ecommerce platform. Because the final system was built from the ground up, every interface, interaction, and screen required original design work. This included the entire front end: home page, product pages, category pages, cart, checkout, and all mobile layouts.
Beyond core ecommerce, the platform required a wide range of specialized features to support Noonday’s unique direct-sales ecosystem. I designed customer accounts, wishlists, and custom product experiences—such as an interactive “Build Your Own Bracelet” product detail page. I also designed systems that connected customers to their Ambassadors and Hostesses, including order association, contextual messaging, and unique UI elements that guided users through the shared Trunk Show shopping experience.
A major component of the project was the design of the Hostess and Ambassador dashboards, which supported event management, tracking, and communication throughout Trunk Shows. I created intuitive, data-rich interfaces that simplified what was previously a complex workflow, ensuring that both customers and sales leaders had a smooth, cohesive experience across all touchpoints.
Overall, my work at Noonday Collection spanned complete website redesigns, iterative enhancements, responsive UI systems, and the creation of a fully custom direct-sales shopping flow. It was an end-to-end design role that blended ecommerce, user experience, and platform-specific problem-solving for a brand with a distinct mission and a uniquely complex business model.
Goals
- Design and maintain a cohesive, brand-aligned digital experience across Noonday’s ecommerce and direct-sales platforms.
- Lead the end-to-end design of a fully custom front-end system, including the home page, category pages, PDPs, cart, checkout, and all responsive/mobile screens.
- Support seasonal product line launches with refreshed home page designs, campaign landing pages, updated merchandising layouts, and promotional assets.
- Create platform-specific features tailored to Noonday’s direct-sales model, including Ambassador assignment, Hostess order association, contextual messaging, and event-based shopping flows.
- Design customer engagement tools such as customer accounts, wish lists, and interactive product features (e.g., Build-Your-Own Bracelet PDP experience).
- Develop intuitive dashboards and tools for Ambassadors and Hostesses, including Trunk Show management, tracking, and communication interfaces.
- Deliver ongoing improvements and enhancements to elevate usability, strengthen conversions, and support evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure all designs were technically feasible, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
